Q1: There are now three corona waves in the world, different in each country. What does this mean for Memphis as a global company?
A: In Asia, for example, we are dealing with three different waves of different heights, strengths, lengths, and forces. While the first wave was successfully contained in one country with a concerted effort, it was then merely managed in others.
Q2: How did this impact production?
A: Since there were shutdowns ordered by the authorities at times, we had to demonstrate to them that the products involved were essential for our customers. This was the only way we could ensure production and thus delivery.
Q3: What was the secret to your success there?
A: Thanks to our long-term and stable relationships with manufacturers, customers, and the authorities, we have been able to build a very good working environment. In addition, the permanent observation and evaluation in relation to the individual countries was particularly worthwhile, as we could not estimate how the virus would spread. Overall, we are very happy not to have lost anyone to the virus.
